Lesson materials and pictures for a Low Beginner Class

This material is adapted from English Through Pictures Book 1 and A First Workbook of English by I. A. Richards and Christine Gibson, Yohan Publications, Inc., Tokyo, Japan, 1973. Each lesson was reformatted to fit on standard size paper. The worksheets were adapted to complement each lesson. The flashcards and pictures for discussion were added to round out the teaching.

The Lesson Materials include a teaching page that introduces the vocabulary in pictoral form. This is followed by two worksheets for practice reading and writing the new lesson. The next three or four pages can be printed and cut in four to be used as flashcards.

The Discussion Pictures are pictures in color or black and white that can be used to stimulate conversation using the new vocabulary from the lesson. These are provided in a separate file to facilitate downloading.
