8 ounces tomato sauce
2 Tablespoons crushed red chilies
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
2 garlic cloves, minced or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons vinegar
juice of half a lemon
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Let stand for 3 hours. Makes 1 cup.
Excellent with tacos or as a dip for tortilla chips.
